Salman is a Consultant who works with FMA’s Outsourcing team to provide clients with advice and hands-on support in solving fiscal management and leadership challenges in accord with best-practices.
Salman joins FMA from Concern Worldwide U.S Inc., where he served as Grants and Compliance Accountant. His responsibilities included Financial Reporting for a portfolio of OFDA and USAID Grants, compliance monitoring visits and development of Concern U.S’s core Accounting Platform. Prior to joining Concern Worldwide U.S Inc., Salman worked as Staff Accountant at The National Federation of CDCU’s Inc. His work at the Federation included monthly closing, financial statement production and systems development.
He has served as an active field volunteer for a multitude of charitable and relief organizations including Life for Relief and Development, The Red Cross and Save the Children. During his time at Baruch College, he served as President/Treasurer of the Muslims Students Association.
Salman graduated with his Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting and minor in Political Science from Baruch College (CUNY) and has successfully passed all four parts of the Uniform CPA examination. He is proficient in Microsoft Dynamics GP, Fund-EZ, Quickbooks, Peachtree and Donor-Perfect. Salman is also fluent in Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi.
