Andrew leads FMA’s Marketing and Communications efforts, helping build a community of clients, alumni and peers around the biggest ideas, best practices and brightest opportunities in the nonprofit sector. He is dedicated to gathering, digesting, and sharing FMA’s on-the-ground fiscal and operational intelligence with a national (and, increasingly, international) audience of nonprofit staff, board members, foundation professionals, and government policy-makers, translating from the spreadsheet to the sublime and back.
Prior to joining FMA, Andrew was a Manager in the Knowledge and Communications department at Nonprofit Finance Fund where he founded and edited the Social Currency blog, designed and implemented an evaluation strategy, and expanded the reach of NFF’s annual survey of the nonprofit sector. He also serves on the board and finance committee of Union Settlement Association in New York City’s East Harlem.
Andrew received a BA in Anthropology and Sociology from Vassar College. He undertook postgraduate studies in Linguistic Anthropology at UCLA and the University of Pennsylvania before finding an outlet for his love of communication in the nonprofit sector.
