Americo is a Consultant who works with FMA’s Outsourcing team to provide clients with advice and hands-on support in solving higher-level fiscal management and leadership challenges in accord with best-practices.
Americo delivers Controller-level practical support, ranging from producing and analyzing financial reports to serving as a thought-partner on broader financial strategy. He helps FMA clients by developing and refining the tools and systems needed for effective fiscal management. This assistance includes refining the chart of accounts to facilitate financial reporting, planning and executing cost-allocations, providing cash-flow analyses, and developing appropriate templates for critical financial reports. He also works with organizations on preparing for their external audits, including developing audit schedules, and implementing financial reporting systems.
Americo is a fiscal and operational expert with an impressive slate of credentials. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant who joins FMA from SingleStop where he developed internal policies and procedures, reengineered and updated processes and implemented new technology. With a green belt in Six Sigma and an MBA in Finance, Americo has extensive experience both in and out of the nonprofit world. He is certified as a Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute and has lectured at St. Joseph’s college on leadership and finance in Human Services organizations.
In addition, he holds a master’s degree in history from Rutgers University and speaks several languages.
