As funds and budgets are dramatically changing, nonprofit leaders have the unique opportunity to use their financial reports to identify new possibilities and financial strategies and present them to potential funders, their leadership team, and the board.
This course will help those staff responsible for preparing financials and telling their organization’s financial story to become confident in translating the numbers and reports.
Participants will leave the course with:
- The ability to understand how common transactions flow through the four financial statements
- Understanding of the ratios that funders and watchdog agencies are using to determine your organization’s “effectiveness”
- Practical experience calculating and interpreting the ratios, including your own.
- Strategic and practical tips on how you can present your financial story
