At FMA, we live and breathe nonprofit data, so we love Excel. While there are plenty of flashy and fashionable tools out there, nothing beats Excel for its ubiquity and off-the-shelf utility.  And, as relentless champions of efficiency, we have learned that any investment in further mastery of Excel translates into greater operational efficiency for staff in almost any role in an organization.  The more time you save navigating and setting up Excel, the more time you can spend actually finding insights your organization can act on!

I had the opportunity to work through some of the Analyzing exercise on Saturday evening. The next evening I received a request from a board member that I was then able to express graphically in a short period of time. I would not have been able to do that had I not had the training earlier in the week.

Note: Practicing Excel on a Saturday is not required, but if you are anything like us, you might not be able to resist!  

About the Course:

Excel for Nonprofits is a two-day in-person intensive course that introduces practical tools immediately applicable to your day-to-day work and provides analytical insights and best-practices that will stay with you throughout your career.  You will learn:

Navigating: Maximize short-cuts, create views and learn other tips to improve your navigation through Excel.

Calculating: Learn the most important Excel functions and how they can help improve the quality and accuracy of your reports.

Formatting: Collect and format data in an easy to manage, replicable, and efficient way.

Analyzing: Create pivot tables and other visually appealing charts and reports that improve cross-departmental communication.

Course Fee:
$795 ($100 off both of your registrations if you enroll a colleague at the same time!)

  • Includes breakfast.  Lunch is on your own.
  • Computers will be provided.
