Our experience working with the FUND E-Z accounting and financial reporting system has led us to view it as one of the most effective accounting programs in its price range available to not-for-profits. FUND E-Z was designed to accomplish in an efficient and systematic manner:

  • Tracking government contracts and other restricted sources of revenue
  • Tracking revenues and expenses by individual programs
  • Monitoring budget-to-actual statistics by program
  • Automatically allocating costs across programs
  • Monitoring and recording contributions through an integrated donor tracking module

FMA consultants have always stressed the importance of using an appropriate software system to effectively manage the accounting and financial reporting needs of a not-for-profit organization. At the same time, we realize that many smaller organizations do not have the resources to invest in and maintain a true fund-based accounting package. For some smaller organizations, QuickBooks® Premier Nonprofit Edition can be an acceptable solution – if it is used appropriately.
